When it comes to packaging performance, display cartons kill the proverbial “two birds, with one stone”. They start their life as a protective shipping box, then transition to an effective point-of-purchase display on a store shelf.
One of the simplest, yet most cost-effective display cartons, these boxes a simple box design, with a perforation for removing the top portion by the retailer. Once this carton arrives in the store aisle, it quickly transforms to a POP display.

Advantages:
The tiered design allows you to see each row elevated slightly about the row in front. Perfect for products that come in multiple colors, or flavors.
Disadvantages:
Higher cost, due to added insert and wasted interior space. Some type of packaging material is generally required to hold contents in place during shipping.
By adding a pull out hopper, your box now becomes a gravity fed display. Perfect for odd shaped products that are considered grab-and-go. This style conveys the sense of a quick purchase to throw in your cart. Stackable products can gravity feed out of a slot at the bottom for individual removal.
Advantages:
Displays are easy for retailer to set up. Products pack tightly inside, with no need for additional packaging materials. Entire box surface can be utilized for branding. Great appeal for a quick purchase.
Disadvantages:
This style only works for products that will feed well, without being difficult to remove. Some additional cost due to hopper door design. Unpurchased products that are removed from hopper, may be difficult to re-load.
Whether floor, counter, or shelf display, custom designs have the most creative and eye-catching appeal. The sky is the limit for die cut shapes and features. The use of feel-me windows, Test buttons, and other unique features are limitless.
Advantages:
Ultimately customizable. Easily grabs customers attention. Branding is front and center for this type of display.
Disadvantages:
High cost to produce. Requires retailer approval for allotted space. Retailers may assemble display incorrectly if it has difficult construction. Generally requires a separate shipper box, for safe shipping.
